Hanna Tuulikki's Air falbh leis na h-eoin is a body of work exploring the mimesis of birds in Gaelic song, developed as part of Cape Farewell's Sea Change programme.

It was developed in 2013 and perfomred at the Tramway, Glasgow. On 29 - 30 August 2014, it becomes a sited performance on the Isle of Canna, performed in the harbour bay, where the music reverberates with the bird-calls and the ebb of the tide.

At its core is a composition for a choir of female singers. It fragments and re-builds extracts of Gaelic songs into an extended soundscape that grows out of and responds to the landscape, exploring the relationship between the Scottish Gaelic tradition and bird communities. Layering choreography and film into the composition, the performance addresses the delicate nature of island-life, the co-existence of history and innovation, the relationships between bird, human and the land.

Air falbh leis na h-eoin is conceived by Hanna Tuulikki and produced by Trigger in association with Cape Farewell. The composition is supported by PRS for Music Foundation through their Women Make Music scheme.
