How the Whale Became is a family opera based on Ted Hughes' story collection The Dreamfighter and Other Creation Tales. The composer is Julian Philips and the libretto is by Edward Kemp.
    Have you ever wondered why whales are so huge? Why foxes are crafty or why polar bears have white coats?
How the Whale Became was performed from 16 December 2013 - 4 January 2014.
